A weekend celebration of polo hosted by the renowned Beaufort Polo Club over two days in June, the Gloucestershire Festival of Polo is not to be missed. Impressive top-class polo teamed with fantastic entertainment and a tented shopping village ensures a sociable and fun event for all.
This year’s Festival sees a new programme for matches, with a mix of Charity, International and Celebrity games:
Saturday 18th June – Maserati Charity Polo Trophy + Beaufort International Test Match
Saturday showcases classic fast-paced polo, with two exciting matches starting at 2.30pm. The Maserati Charity Polo Trophy is a four chukka match with Maserati and Piaget sponsored teams. This charity match is a valuable fundraiser for three important charities: England & Wales Mountain Rescue and the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust whose patron is The Duke of Cambridge; plus The Household Cavalry Foundation whose patron is Prince Harry. The afternoon action continues with an International Test Match at 4.15pm where Piaget Young England will vie for honours against an Ireland team in what promises to be a thrilling and high class five chukka game.
Saturday 18th June – Jack Wills Afterparty
Jack Wills and Beaufort Polo Club cordially invite you to Gloucestershire Festival of Polo’s official after party. Join them from 8pm – 2am for live music, DJ sets, and a good ol’ fashioned party.
Afterparty tickets are limited so be quick! Available by ringing the Polo Office on 01666 880510. (Please note, guests are welcome to attend the Jack Wills afterparty without purchasing day tickets. Afterparty tickets allow entrance to the grounds from 7pm.) Having purchased tickets guests will be added to a guest list rather than being provided with a ticket or wristband.
Sunday 19th June – Jockeys vs Olympic Legends Polo Match
Sunday promises more exciting polo with no less than four matches taking place throughout the day. A highlight will be the inaugural Jockeys vs Olympic Legends Polo Match at 3pm, with a top-class line-up of players including Sir Antony McCoy OBE and Zara Phillips MBE leading the teams. Proceeds from Sunday’s charity lunch will go to LAPResearchUK. Spectators can also witness some of the country’s top up-and-coming young players vie for honours in the final of The Javier Novillo Astrada U15 Cup; if last year is anything to go by, this promises more high class polo and high-speed action out on the field.
