What’s On at the Festival

With top class polo, arena attractions and a traditional fun fair, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained at the Festival.

Gates open at 10.30am and close at 6pm 


Enjoy classic fast-paced polo with the Swinhay International Test Match promising top class action on the field. Saturday welcomes World Horse Welfare as the Official Charity of the day.

Sunday sees more exciting polo action with a quality feature match and also top young players in the Javier Novillo Astrada U15 Cup.

PLEASE NOTE : No private gazebos, structures or barbeques are permitted anywhere on the site. Car parking is free with each ticket purchase. Children U12 free. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times please. See FAQs for Safety Information and Age Restrictions in some areas.

Ben Long – The Falconry School

One of the country’s best-known falconers, Ben Long presents a fascinating insight into the world of falconry – a sport with a heritage spanning some 4,000 years. Watch these incredible birds in action as they soar above the Arena and swoop down to the lure; you might even be able to handle a bird yourself – so have cameras at the ready!

Box Clever – Flyball Demonstration

Flyball is one of the world’s fastest growing dog sports and is great fun for all, not least dogs large and small.  Watch as teams of four race over jumps to retrieve a ball and return the same way. The first team with all dogs back, error free, wins.  Box Clever regularly compete in affiliated events and train most Saturdays in Avening. New members are welcome in spring and autumn.

Caspar West – Polo Demonstration

Want to understand more about polo?  Beaufort’s Polo Manager, Caspar West runs through some of the basics and intricacies of his action-packed sport.  What is a chukka? How can there be goals on the scoreboard before a match even begins? Is it really OK to barge into a player and try knocking them off, and how can spectators keep track of the play?!
